Human glomerulonephritis plays an important role in the everyday hospital life because it is a common cause for renal insufficiency or renal failure. Glomerulo-nephritis is a complex process of inflammation where an imbalance of pro- and antiangiongenic factors develops. The system of NO is involved in the regulation of the intact endothelium. VASP is also supposed to have an important role in the process of inflammation. The aim of this study is to find out if there are changes of the expression of the system of NO and VASP in different glomerulonephritis and if there are correlations with the clinical activity of the disease.

Die humane entzündliche Nierenerkrankung ist von großer klinischer Bedeutung, da sie zu einer terminalen Niereninsuffizienz bzw. zum Nierenversagen führen kann. Bei einer Glomerulonephritis handelt es sich um ein komplexes Entzündungsgeschehen bei dem es zu einem Ungleichgewicht zwischen pro- und antiangiogenen Faktoren kommt. Das NO-System ist dabei an der Regulation des intakten Endothels beteiligt. Von VASP wird ebenfalls vermutet, dass es eine wichtige Rolle im Entzündungsprozess spielt. Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Fragestellung, wie sich die Expression des NO-Systems und von VASP bei humanen entzündlichen Nierenerkrankungen ändert und ob diese Veränderungen mit der klinischen Erkrankungsaktivität korrelieren.
