Abstract

The objectives of this work are to develop catalyst materials for the dehydrogenation of H18 DBT and H12 BT at lower reaction temperatures, to understand the phenomena observed under such conditions, and to deploy the acquired insights for further catalyst optimization. For this, a size selective synthesis route of the deployed Pt/Al2O3 catalysts is developed, to facilitate a comprehensive study of structure sensitivity effects on the hydrogen release reaction from LOHC molecules.
